One of the last uncluttered spaces free of advertising in your local supermarket may be uncluttered no-more if conveyor-belt advertising takes hold.
Personally, most of the newer grocery stores I visit don’t use the conveyor system anyway, with the clerk (or customer for self check-out) just taking the items directly out of the cart or basket.

Ever seen an unusual vehicle on the road promoting a product? If so, Turtle Transit probably had something to do with it.
Someone noticed there was a lot of empty white space going unused and decided to take advantage of it.
At any one time, scanning the “Advertising Opportunities” section on eBay reveals some interesting ideas people have come up with to make money. These include auctions such as ‘advertise on my car’, advertise on my chest’, and even ‘advertise on my living room wall‘.
I recently (a little over a week ago) thought I’d try a bit of this and won an ‘advertise on my car’ auction. This auction was by a college student who promised to display my ad for a year.
The ad isn’t up as of yet… but at the price I paid it might be a bargain. Who knows?
This is for a new project which I’m only promoting off-line, so I should be able to notice any positive results (and report on them).

US Airways is planning to begin selling ad space on its air-sickness bags in September as a way to create added revenue. “We’re trying to stay innovative and be on the cutting edge in terms of generating revenue,” said US Airways spokeswoman Valerie Wunder. The airline already sells advertising space on tray tables and offers gift cards and a “Bill Me Later” program.
